JOB PURPOSE

To contribute to the development of a school that is transforming the educational standards and character enhancement of our young people with an emphasis on creating a culture that inspires personal growth, development and performance driven outcomes. This involves maintaining the teaching and traditions of the Islamic Faith, in accordance with the Feversham Academy vision and ethos, to promote the personal, spiritual, moral and social development of the pupils.

 

Manage the Exams Assessments and Reporting procedures.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1        Support for the Principal and Senior Leadership Team 

1.1    Manage the exams procedures to ensure the following is carried out:-

o   The overall smooth running of internal and external examinations, ensuring that all related administration and preparation is undertaken

o   Complete external entries and securely store and send completed examination papers to external examination boards.

o   Liaise with staff/Faculty Leaders regarding student examination entries.

o   Liaise with examination boards to ensure the accurate administration of all examinations, including ensuring compliance with examination board rules and coursework requirements

o   Administration of all internal examinations

o   Disseminate examination information to staff, students and parent/carers, including exam and invigilation timetables, guidelines and querying results.

o   Liaise with the Inclusion Manager to ensure the appropriate examination access arrangements are put into place for SEN students

 

1.3          The collation and analysis of all external exam results and data for internal and external bodies including the Principal, SLT, DfE, School Governors’ Annual Report, School Prospectus, Local Authority County Council, ALPs, FFT, Sisra.

1.4          Provide reports on examination results and assessment data for Heads of Faculty, Subject Leaders, Progress Leaders and teaching staff as required.

1.5          Recruitment and training of invigilators.

1.6          To support the analysis of examinations and assessment data producing easily accessible information for SLT, teachers and learners

1.7          To manage the assessment recording and reporting processes and ensure that they work effectively for the School.

1.8          To support the use of statistical forecasting techniques such as FFT to set aspirational school targets

2      General

2.1     Contribute towards the priorities identified within the School Improvement Plan.

2.2     Comply with the requirements of Data Protection and other legislation specifically relating to personnel records.

2.3     Initiate and manage relevant improvement processes to support the continuous development of staff and school.

2.4     To participate in appropriate staff meetings, training sessions, including INSET, where required governor committees and other meetings as identified by the Principal.

3                Health and Safety Health and Safety:

3.1          Comply with all statutory requirements in relation to Health & Safety and be aware of the schools Health & Safety policy.

3.2          Be aware of the responsibility for personal health, safety and welfare and that of others who may be affected by your actions or inactions.

3.3          Co-operate with the employer on all issues to do with Healthy, Safety and Welfare.

4      Continuing Professional Development

4.1     Participate in any professional development necessary as identified in School Improvement Plan or performance management reviews.

5       Other responsibilities

5.1     Promote the Trust’s vision of ‘transforming lives, transforming communities’.

5.2     Contribute to the wider life of the Trust and the Feversham community.

5.3     Carry out any such duties as may be reasonably required by the Trust.

6       Records management

6.1     All staff who creates, receive, and use records in the course of their job are responsible for ensuring that records are managed appropriately. It is therefore likely that this post-holder will have responsibility for record-keeping as part of the role.  Employees are required to be conversant with the Trust’s policies and procedures on records management.

 

The job description forms part of the contract of employment of the person appointed to this post. It reflects the position at the present time only and may be reviewed in negotiation with the employee in the future. The appointment is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the ‘Feversham Contract’.
