An effective mentoring programme can boost participant’s aspirations, confidence, self-belief and motivation. Learning mentors support, motivate and challenge pupils who are underachieving as well as assisting the more able students to overcome barriers to learning caused by social, emotional and behavioural problems. These initiatives assist students to develop the skills required to achieve success at school and beyond.
Learning mentors are fully briefed and are prepared to work with the school to complete a wide range of tasks. Principal Resourcing’s mentors are experienced and provided with the necessary tools to work with a range of learners, but give priority to those who need the most help, especially those experiencing multiple disadvantages.
