We are seeking to recruit a nurturing and friendly SEN Teaching Assistant to provide maternity cover at one of our partnership Specialist Schools based in Leeds (LS2).
You will be responsible for supporting the personalised learning needs of a student with complex SEN and medical needs under the direction of the Class Teacher. The full-time role is available with immediate start and will be temporary to meet the needs of the school.
The inclusive School caters for pupils aged 2-19 years with moderate to severe SEND and medical/physical difficulties. They are seeking a candidate with full and relevant moving and handling training, previous experience with medical needs and medication management is preferred although not essential.
You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role, salary is negotiable depending on experience.
We are seeking a SEN Support Assistant with:
- A full and relevant Teaching Assistant/SEN qualification or equivalent.
- A kind, caring and patient approach.
- Current valid moving and handling training.
- Previous experience supporting pupils with medical needs is advantageous.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting SEN pupil progression.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
