“I had always had an interest in working in the classroom but despite having transferable skills, I didn’t think that would be enough to get me in a school-based role. When I saw the advert for the opportunity to work as a teaching assistant and that free training was offered, I hoped this was the opportunity I had been waiting for! I attended various sessions with the in house trainer Kerry whose knowledge and understanding of the role of a teaching assistant was fantastic. As well as practical training, she also gave me the confidence that I could do this, despite the lack of actual classroom experience.”

“After doing some research, I decided to register with Principal Resourcing and wow am I glad I did! From the initial call to placing me into a role that later became permanent, they made me feel totally at ease. The registration process was thorough but efficient and all through this the team were there to answer any questions and generally put me at ease so that they could secure me work. I initially did some ad hoc assignments but then they called me about a longer-term placement that sounded great, I was more then happy to accept. The school had a very similar ethos at my previous school and I immediately felt I fitted in.”
