Principal Resourcing is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming primary academy in Scunthorpe to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant for a full-time position.
This role will involve providing classroom support across the school, alongside delivering targeted support for pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The position is expected to commence at the start of the new academic year and will initially run for the autumn term, with the potential to be extended into the spring term based on the needs of the academy.

The Role
- Provide classroom support to pupils and teaching staff.
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group intervention support.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, including those with EHCPs.
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to promote pupil progress and achievement.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Have previous experience supporting children within a primary school setting.
- Have experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Be confident providing 1:1 support and working with pupils in Key Stage 1.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom practice.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one through Principal Resourcing.
- Have the right to work in the UK. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
