We are actively seeking to appoint an organised and adaptive Advanced Teaching Assistant, to join the thriving school community at one of our Secondary Academies based in Pickering. You will work in collaboration with the existing support team to encourage pupils to achieve to a high standard and develop a deeper understanding of the KS3/4 curriculum. Your role will help shape the learning experience of the students, providing extra attention to detail and support to help them flourish in curriculum confidence. The school are seeking a full-time candidate, however a part-time position may be considered for the right applicant.
The mixed Comprehensive Secondary School, caters for pupils aged 11-18, serving the town of Pickering and surrounding villages. The School strive to be the very best and improve the educational experience for staff, students and families. Offering a broad and balanced curriculum that is ambitious and challenging, placing emphasis on academic achievements, the arts and practical subjects. The ideal candidate will be available to join the staff team with immediate start to meet the needs of the school.
You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role, rates are negotiable dependent on experience.
Your role as an ATA:
- Supervision of classes for absent teaching staff.
- Administrative support.
- Working with students on a one-to-one basis.
- Working with students alongside teaching staff and share good practice with SEND team.
We are seeking an ATA with:
- A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting KS3/4 pupil progression.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
