Principal Resourcing are seeking to appoint a calm and confident Learning Support Assistant to work in the Enhanced Resource Provision based in one of our partnership Primary Schools in the East Riding of Yorkshire from September 2024. The position will initially be on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.

The Primary Academy is part of the Consortium Academy Trust, offering am ambitious curriculum experience for all learners that instils a love of learning from a young age. Catering for children aged 3-11 within mainstream education and offering an onsite Specialist Provision Hub.

You will support pupils in the Enhanced Resource Provision by learning through play, communication and the development of increasing independence on a part-time basis. Supporting other team members through planning, resourcing and assessing on a day to day basis, alongside ensuring robust systems of safeguarding and pupil safety are ensured at all times. The ideal applicant will be confident providing bespoke support for the SEMH, communication and Autistic needs of individual students.

We offer competitive rates of pay up to £100 per day depending on experience.

We are seeking an LSA with:

  • A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous SEN experience is desirable, although not essential.
  • Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
  • Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
