We have an exciting opportunity for a Science Technician to join one of our inclusive Secondary Academies based in Leeds, LS28. You will provide full-time support for pupils across theKS3/4 curriculum with immediate start. The position will initially be on a temporary basis to meet the needs of the school and will provide ongoing support for teaching staff and pupils across the Science curriculum.
You will be confident maintaining, setting up and preparing resources and equipment under the guidance of the class teacher. You must be confident working as part of the Science Faculty to engage learners and ensure their safety and welfare during use of equipment and resources.
We welcome applications from experienced support staff and offer competitive rates of pay up to £100, depending on your experience and the role requirements.
Your role as a Science Technician:
- Support the Teacher to engage students in learning & build confidence.
- Adapt to the diverse needs of students within your care.
- Maintain strong classroom management & promote high standards for learning.
- Set up classroom resources under the guidance of the Teacher.
- Ensure the health, safety and welfare of students accessing resources.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a positive and child-centred staff team.
We are seeking a Science Technician with:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil’s and teaching staff.
- Familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
