Are you an experienced Science Technician seeking a new opportunity?

We are actively recruiting for a full time Science Technician to join the staff team at one of our inclusive Secondary Academies based in Bradford (BD2). The position is available with immediate start and will be ongoing to meet the needs of the Science Faculty. There is the potential of a permanent role as the Senior Science Technician for the right candidate.

The co-educational Secondary School and Sixth-form caters for students aged 11-18 within supportive and engaging surroundings. Offering a reputation as a caring and welcoming place of learning, that puts students at the heart of learning and promotes a warm and friendly atmosphere. You will join a strong staff team, supporting teaching staff and pupils across the KS3/4 Science curriculum.

You must be confident maintaining, setting up and preparing resources and equipment under the guidance of the class teacher. You will be working as part of the Science Faculty to engage learners and ensure their safety and welfare during use of equipment and resources. Strong organisational skills are essential, as well as excellent knowledge of the Science curriculum.

We offer competitive rates of pay up to £100, depending on your experience and the role requirements.

Your role as a Science Technician:

  • Support the Teacher to engage students in learning & build confidence.
  • Adapt to the diverse needs of students within your care.
  • Maintain strong classroom management & promote high standards for learning.
  • Set up classroom resources under the guidance of the Teacher.
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of students accessing resources.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a positive and child-centred staff team.

We are seeking a Science Technician with:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil’s and teaching staff.
  • Familiarity with the UK Science Curriculum.
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
  • Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
