Here at Principal Resourcing, we are seeking a passionate and adaptive SEN Teacher to join the staff team at one of our Specialist Provision Schools based in Leeds, LS10. The role is available from September 2024 and will provide teaching and learning support on a full-time basis to meet the diverse needs of pupils with a range of SEN needs and challenging behaviour.

You will be based within the Formal Teaching and Learning Group, which follows the National Curriculum using personalised approaches incorporating EHCP outcomes. Pupils in the formal TLG, undertake external accreditations for example Pearson Entry Level English and Maths. You will join a strong staff team, enabling active engagement in learning and positive interactions.

The Specialist School caters for pupils aged 2-19 years within alternative provision, offering a team of Learning Support Assistants and a Middle and Senior Leadership Team who have a secure understanding of the rewards and challenges of teaching in the school. Staff are passionate about developing the learning, life chances and opportunities of all pupils and young people.

We welcome applications from experienced Teachers and offer competitive rates of pay up to £230, depending on your experience and the role requirements.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience and skills of teaching pupils with a wide range of Special Educational Needs including ASC
  • An ability to work collaboratively with parents, carers, multi- professionals and outside agencies
  • Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of teaching both English and Maths
  • Experience of delivering accreditations
  • High expectations, commitment and enthusiasm for both the personal and educational development of all pupils

We are seeking a SEN Teacher with:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for their subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum
  • Previous experience Teaching pupils with a range of SEN needs
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us
  • Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship
