Here at Principal Resourcing, we are actively seeking to recruit a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join one of our Specialist Schools based in Leeds.
The full-time role is expected to become permanent for the right applicant and will provide a supportive and nurturing learning experience for pupils with a range of SEN and Disabilities.
The Specialist School is part of the Polaris Community and caters for students aged 5-18 years. They are seeking a passion SEND Teacher to deliver Maths lessons to bespoke groups of up to 6 children. You will work in partnership with a Teaching Assistant to allow positive, challenging and suitably adapted learning that meets the unique needs of learners.
You can expect to earn up to £230 per day for this role depending on experience.
You will be required to:
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work.
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.
- Set high standards which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils.
- Promote good progress outcomes.
- Demonstrate secure subject and curriculum knowledge.
- Participate in arrangements for preparing learners for external tests.
- Be able to teach up-to GCSE in a subject specialism area.
- Be able to adapt learning to meet learners with SEND
We are seeking a Teacher with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Previous experience working in SEN/Specialist Provision desirable
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting SEND pupils
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship
