Here at Principal Resourcing, we have an opportunity for a confident and adaptive Teacher of SEND to join one of our wonderful Specialist Provision Secondary Schools based in Pontefract, WF7. You will provide full-time teaching and learning support for pupils across the KS3/4/5 curriculum to meet the needs of the setting with immediate start.
The Secondary School caters for young people aged 11-19 with severe, complex or profound multiple learning difficulties, including but not limited to Autism, Sensory Impairment, challenging behaviour and medical/physical needs. You will join a supportive staff team that are immensely of their students achievements and are passionate about delivering an engaging adaptive curriculum that allows them to thrive and flourish as unique individuals.
The School are interested in applications from candidates with previous experience teaching:
- ASD / Challenging behaviours and/or
- Complex or Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and/or
- Complex sensory needs
We welcome applications from experienced Teachers and offer competitive rates of pay up to £230, depending on your experience and the role requirements.
We are seeking a Teacher with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Previous experience working in SEN/Special Schools desirable
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting SEND pupils
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship
