Here at Principal Resourcing, we are actively recruiting for a caring and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join one of our thriving Primary Schools based in Leeds from September 2024. You will provide ongoing support for pupils with a range of learning needs including SEND within the mainstream classroom to meet the needs of the Early Years Classroom.

The recently refurbished Primary School offers a happy and safe school community, where pupils are eager to learn within a modern and stimulating learning environment. Ofsted rated ‘Good’, the school aim to deliver a creative and challenging curriculum experience for all pupils, through enhanced resources, effective partnership with parents and a focus on positive wellbeing and confidence building.

You will ideally have knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and Development Matters Guidance for Early Years learning and development and be confident delivering 1:1 and small group learning activities to pupils with SEND. You must be proactive in your approach, engaging children in learning and working as part of a strong staff team to progress learning.

We offer competitive rates of pay up to £100 per day depending on experience.

We are seeking a Teaching Assistant with:

  • A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous SEN/SEND experience and knowledge is desirable.
  • Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
  • Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
