Principal Resourcing are seeking to appoint a Senior Cover Supervisor on behalf of one of our partnership Secondary Schools based in Scarborough with immediate start.
The full-time role will provide support for pupils in the teachers absence for 37hrs per week and is expected to become permanent for the right applicant.
You will manage planned absence requests and day-to-day absences of teaching and support staff, providing short term cover for absent teaching staff. You will allocate pre-prepared work, whilst keeping students on task and managing the behaviour of students during lessons.
The role does not involve planning, preparing, delivering lessons or assessing and reporting on the development progress and attainment of students. This position is ideal for those wishing to explore a career in teaching, or for those wishing to step back from a teaching role but wish to remain in an education setting.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
