Here at Principal Resourcing, we are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a confident and friendly Teaching Assistant with EAL specialism, to join one of our welcoming Secondary Academies from September 2024. You will be responsible for part-time learning support and intervention for students with English as an Additional Language (EAL), enabling them to develop confidence, understanding and actively progress across a range of KS3/4 curriculum subjects.
The Secondary Academy based in the cathedral city of Wakefield, offers an excellent educational experience for pupils of all abilities, through a broad and balanced curriculum. High aspirations are set for all students, ensuring an inclusive and positive environment for learning that champions pupils achievements and places them at the heart of learning.
We offer competitive rates of pay up to £100 per day, depending on experience.
Your role as an EAL Teaching Assistant
- Support the Teacher to engage EAL students in learning & build confidence.
- Adapt to the diverse needs of EAL students within your care.
- Maintain strong classroom management & promote high standards for learning.
- Support EAL students to positively progress, through suitable intervention.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a positive and student-centred staff team.
We are seeking a TA with:
- A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
