Here at Principal Resourcing, we have an opportunity for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our talent pool in Hull, providing part-time support for pupils across Alternative Provision from September 2024.  The position will initially be on a temporary basis to meet the needs of the school.

The Secondary Academy is part of the Thrive Co-operative Learning Trust and caters for pupils with diverse range of needs, aiming to create a positive culture of learning that highly inspirational and supportive, delivering excellent opportunities for professional development.

The School are seeking to appoint a friendly and adaptive Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work across their Alternative Provision, supporting the Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs of up to 10 students, as well as students with a range of complex needs. The nurture-style provision specialises in working with students who have communication and interaction needs that are working below age-related expectations and need support with learning and communication.

You will work collaboratively as part of a friendly staff team, to promote consistency in learning, high achievement, positive wellbeing and be committed to providing an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all pupils within your care.

We offer competitive rates of pay up to £100, depending on your experience and the role requirements.

Your role as a TA:

  • Support the Teacher to engage students in learning & build confidence.
  • Adapt to the diverse needs of students within your care.
  • Maintain strong classroom management & promote high standards for learning.
  • Support students to positively progress, through suitable intervention.
  • Collaborate effectively as part of a positive and child-centred staff team.

We are seeking Teaching Assistants with:

  • A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
  • An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
  • Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
