We have a fantastic part-time opportunity for a friendly and supportive Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnership Specialist Schools based in Pontefract (WF7).
You will be committed to providing the best possible educational opportunities for children with severe and complex learning difficulties with an immediate start.
The inclusive Specialist School is dedicated to providing a safe learning environment for all students, with strong emphasis on positive well-being for staff and pupils. You will join a thriving staff team of 130 staff, working within smaller classroom settings to enable personalised learning and support for pupils with a diverse range of needs.
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, although applicants with a keen interest in specialist provision will be considered.
You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role depending on experience.
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant with:
- A full and relevant L3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting SEN pupil progression.
- Experience in team-teach, moving and handling and Makaton is desirable.
- A caring, compassionate and nurturing approach.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
