Principal Resourcing are working in partnership with a faith school based in Wakefield. They are welcoming applications from ECTs (with an opportunity to support and complete their ECT years) alongside an experienced upper Key Stage 2 Teacher to November 2021. The successful candidate will be joining this 1 form entry and its warm “family feel” environment. Although it is 1 form entry, the SLT and other members of teaching staff go out of their way to share planning ideas and to support with medium and long-term planning.


The school are looking for a teacher who is able to both support lower assessment levelled pupils, whilst also challenging their higher assessment levelled students.  This would be through effective teaching and utilisation of the class teaching assistant.


Within the role you will be required to:

  • Have good classroom control and be able to follow the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Teach, plan and prepare lessons that will engage and enthuse learners.
  • Be creative in your teaching approach with an ability to raise attainment.
  • Either experience teaching pupils in preparation for SATS the following year, or willingness to learn
  • Have a commitment to develop the personalities, talents and abilities of all students.
  • Display an enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally.
  • Have a willingness and enthusiasm to commit to the expectations of the role and desire to contribute to extra-curricular responsibilities.

Skills and attributes:

  • Relevant qualifications – QTS or overseas equivalent
  • A proactive team member, committed to raising standards and achievement.
