We have a fantastic opportunity for a confident and supportive Teaching Assistant (level 2) to join one of our vibrant Specialist Provisions based in Barnsley, S70. You will join a passionate staff team, promoting an inclusive and diverse environment for pupils with a range of SEND and behavioural needs.
The full-time position is expected to commence June 2025 and has the potential to become permanent for the right applicant. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead pupils on the path to a bright future.
The welcoming Specialist School are seeking a candidate to work under the guidance of the teacher, supporting the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day.
You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role dependent on experience.
Duties will include:
- Getting the classroom ready for lessons
- Supporting children in class with reading, visual learning and messy play
- Helping those who need extra support
- Completing pupils record plans
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant with:
- A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting SEN pupil progression.
- A caring, compassionate and nurturing approach.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
