What a day for our first Charity Golf Day! The weather held up and we had a great turn out of teams on the beautiful Hessle Golf Course. Everybody got involved in the various additional competitions including nearest the pin, the longest drive, a putting competition and a Beat the Pro with Ady Wheatcroft from Ace Golf Challenge. This, combined with the excellent support from those who sponsored the event and the amazing raffle prizes local businesses donated, ensured it was a great day.
We raised an incredible grand total of £2000 for the RICH Foundation’s No More Knives Campaign!
The first, second and third teams took home vouchers from American Golf and our raffle prizes included:
- 4 balls at prestigious courses
- Premium vodka, champagne and gin
- Golf lessons
- Meals out, spa treatments, afternoon tea and much more
Our chosen charity
Kayleigh Pepper set up the Rich Foundation after her brother, Richard, was brutally stabbed. The Foundation set up the No More Knives Campaign in 2018 to rid the streets of knives and harmful weapons and to deter people away from the dangers and consequences of knife crime. As proud sponsors of the campaign, Principal Resourcing have watched them reach thousands of school children across Hull, educating them on the dangers of carrying blades. In February this year we helped them bring the Knife Angel to Hull Queens Gardens and they have recently started Phase 2 of the campaign which visits schools throughout East Riding and North Lincolnshire. With your support this campaign can continue its great work throughout the region.
