Face coverings for pupils

From 20th of January it was announced that Staff and Pupils in secondary schools and colleges will not be required to wear a face covering in classrooms. Although there are changes in the guidelines, some schools may keep a more robust policy to ensure ongoing safety.

Face coverings in general

On the 27th of January, changes mean that we will not be required to wear face coverings, including in communal areas of schools. the government however suggests you continue to wear one in crowded and indoor spaces where you may come into contact with people you do not normally meet.

The NHS COVID pass will no longer be legally mandatory for venues and events.

There is further speculation regarding the removal of the isolation period sooner than March when the current guidance ends. This has not been confirmed but we will keep you posted.
