Wellbeing & Mental Health in Schools

There is a growing mental health crisis in our schools.

An estimated 3 children in every classroom have a diagnosable mental health problem, rising to 1 in 4 when we include emotional distress. With 90% of school leaders reporting an increase in the number of students experiencing anxiety or stress over th last 5 years. Children’s mental health has been affected even more so from the COVID-19 pandemic, with feelings of isolation, loneliness and depression. With Children now back in school it is key to promote good emotional wellbeing and identify any signs of mental distress.
