Wellbeing & Mental Health in Schools

There is a growing mental health crisis in our schools.

An estimated 3 children in every classroom have a diagnosable mental health problem, rising to 1 in 4 when we include emotional distress. With 90% of school leaders reporting an increase in the number of students experiencing anxiety or stress over th last 5 years. Children’s mental health has been affected even more so from the COVID-19 pandemic, with feelings of isolation, loneliness and depression. With Children now back in school it is key to promote good emotional wellbeing and identify any signs of mental distress.

Principal are keen to help in supporting wellbeing & mental health and we have now launched our online courses which include:

  • Anxiety Awareness
  • Mental Health Awareness
  • Mental Wellbeing in Children & Young people
  • First Aid for Mental Health
  • Reducing Stress (Techniques to relax)
